Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using the Traleva mobile application and website (collectively, the “Service”) operated by Traleva (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the Service in any way, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old, have read and understood these Terms, and agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

2. Account Registration

To access most features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete registration information.
  • Keep your password secure and not share it with others.
  • Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
  • Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Subscriptions and Billing

Traleva offers free and paid subscription tiers, including Trip Pass and Pro. Paid subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store (collectively, “App Stores”).

Auto-renewal

Paid subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Your payment method on file with the applicable App Store will be charged at the then-current subscription price.

Managing your subscription

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you will retain access to paid features until then. We do not issue refunds for unused portions of a subscription period except as required by applicable law or App Store policies.

Price changes

We may change subscription prices at any time. We will give you reasonable advance notice of any price increase. If you do not agree to the new price, you may cancel before the change takes effect.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation.
  • Upload, share, or transmit content that is unlawful, harmful, defamatory, or infringing.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its underlying systems.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any portion of the Service.
  • Use the Service for any commercial purpose without our express written consent.
  • Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Service.

5. Intellectual Property

Your content

You retain ownership of all itinerary content, photos, notes, and other materials you create or upload (“User Content”). By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, display, and process your User Content solely to provide and improve the Service. We will never sell your User Content or use it for advertising purposes.

Traleva's content

All other content on the Service — including the Traleva name, logo, design, software, and features — is owned by or licensed to Traleva and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without our prior written permission.

6. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

Traleva uses Charlotte, an AI assistant powered by Anthropic, to generate itinerary suggestions, Scout city guides, and other travel recommendations. AI-generated content is provided for informational purposes only.

  • AI suggestions may not always be accurate, current, or suitable for your specific circumstances.
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any AI-generated content.
  • You are responsible for independently verifying information (hours, pricing, availability, safety) before relying on it.
  • Traleva is not liable for any loss or harm arising from reliance on AI-generated content.

Your itinerary context is sent to Anthropic to generate responses. Anthropic does not use your content to train their models. For details on how your data is handled, see our Privacy Policy.

7. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review it to understand how we collect, use, and share your information.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Traleva and its officers, directors, employees, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, data, or goodwill — arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total cumulative liability to you for any claims arising under these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim or (b) $50 USD.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account through Settings → Delete Account.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our discretion, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or if required by law. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, limitation of liability, and governing law) will survive.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Delaware.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via the app or email. The updated Terms will be effective upon posting. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, please stop using the Service and cancel any active subscription.
